Antique large French earthenware pancheon tian dough bowl. Circa 1800’s. Made of solid clay with a yellow slip glaze interior. Pancheon bowls of this size were originally used for proofing dough while the smaller pancheon bowls were used for the rising of cream in raw milk. These bowls are becoming harder to find!
