English Wicker Potato Harvest Basket
English Wicker Potato Harvest Basket
Large English wicker potato harvest basket. This beautiful & unique shaped basket was found in a Wisconsin farmhouse which was originally brought over from England during the late 1800’s. The owner told me it was originally a potato harvest basket. I searched for awhile to try to find any baskets that look like this one & I couldn’t find any so it is very rare & unique! The color of the willow is a dark brown with a slight red tone & some faded spots. It has a wood bottom which is very sturdy. Would look beautiful storing linens, logs, blankets, etc. in it since it’s large, but also can be used for harvesting potatoes, apples, pears, etc.!
Found | England
Condition | Very good used condition with no broken wicker, but faded spots from use. Wood is solid & sturdy so it can be used for it’s intended purpose.
