French farmhouse herb chopper/mezzaluna. These choppers were used with wood chopping bowls, but can also be used on any surface for chopping herbs. I purposely don't clean items like these, because I don't know if someone likes the aging or not so I leave it up to the buyer to clean. The rust is just surface rust which can easily be cleaned with steel wool. The chopper will look brand new once it's polished! I believe the chopper is made from steel.
